MidWinter Warmer 2017

Saturday 11 February, 2pm-5pm

Brockley Social Club, 240 Brockley Road, SE4 2SU

MidWinterWarmer Feb 2017. CakesThe cold and slightly snowy weather did not deter our attendees at the annual Seniors Mid-Winter Warmer on 11th February.

We were beautifully regaled by the Senior’s Choir, led once again by Christine Bond, and there were plentiful refreshments; sandwiches and delicious home made cakes.

Jennifer Owens delivered a very informative talk about Alzheimer’s awareness and shared ideas on how to befriend those in the community who are living with dementia.

The raffle heralded the end of the afternoon; we are most grateful to the local businesses and individuals who donated such a variety of prizes such as chocolates and vouchers.

MidWinterWarmer Feb 2017 ChoirThis is always such a warm event and this year in particular we were happy to meet new volunteers who came along to help. If you would like to be part of the tea party next year, as an attendee or a helper,  do please contact the Brockley Society.

We would also love to hear from you if you would like to put on a short, informal and unpaid performance: music, magic etc.

We are also always looking for raffle prizes. Put things aside during the year and bring them along next time;  the more prizes we have, the more people go home happy havng won something!
